# IV. Dedication System

## **1. Overview**

The dedication system lets players place configured items into a dedicated GUI and confirm them to add island value and island level through SuperiorSkyblock2.

## **2. Requirements**

* SuperiorSkyblock2 must be installed and enabled.
* The player must have ultimatestorage.dedication.
* The player must be on or associated with an island that the hook can resolve.

## **3. dedication.yml**

| Field    | Meaning                                           |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| material | The item material accepted by the dedication GUI. |
| value    | Island value added per item.                      |
| level    | Island level added per item.                      |

## **4. GUI Workflow**

1. Player runs /us dedication or /us dedicate.
2. Plugin checks permission, SuperiorSkyblock2 availability, and island availability.
3. Player inserts valid configured items into input slots.
4. Confirm button calculates total item count, value, and level.
5. On success, the items are consumed and value/level are applied to the island.
6. On cancel, close, or quit, inserted items are returned safely.

## **5. Common Issues**

| Message                     | Likely Cause                                                                 |
| --------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| dedication.hook-unavailable | SuperiorSkyblock2 is missing or disabled.                                    |
| dedication.no-island        | The player does not have an island or is not in a valid island context.      |
| dedication.invalid-item     | The inserted item material is not configured in dedication.yml.              |
| dedication.hook-failed      | The island API method was not available or value/level could not be applied. |
